Funerals

Generally, our church is notified of a death by a family member or the funeral home.

A pastor will meet with the family to plan the service and share stories about the loved one. It is helpful to have an idea of special songs, scriptures and hymn selection. Generally, the funeral home helps in decisions regarding the location of the funeral ceremony, burial arrangements, organists, soloists, luncheons and military honors.

Your own funeral

If you have ideas about what you would like for your own funeral, take some time to do some planning. You may either do that with the funeral home of your choice or meet with your family and take some notes about what things you would like to have as part of your service.
